The electronic dimmer ES-DIM is used to control the brigtness of light sources, like e. g. signalling lamps, and of displays. Typical applications are control desks/consoles of vehicles (e. g. trains, ships) in which visibility to outside must not be restricted by too bright light sources especially at bad day light conditions.

In order to lower the lamp voltage no resistor is required. Thus the power loss is reduced considerably and the brightness of the lamps is independent of the number of switched on lamps.
